NO PURCHASE OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASING TICKETS TO THE 2008 IOWA STATE FAIR (“EVENT”) OR MAKING DONATIONS TO BLESSMAN MINISTRIES, INC. (hereafter noted as BMI or “SPONSOR”) OR PURCHASES FROM ANY DONOR, EXHIBITOR OR OTHER PARTY WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ENTRANTS NEED NOT BE PRESENT IN ORDER TO WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Entry into the Drawing constitutes your acceptance of these Official Rules.
WHO MAY ENTER: These Drawings are intended for participation by U.S. residents 18 years of age or older. You may not participate unless you are a U.S. resident and physically located within the U.S. at the time of entry. Individuals employed by Sponsor or BSB Design, their advertising and promotion agencies, volunteers or judges (collectively “Drawing Parties”) at any time during the Drawing Period (July 25-August 17), and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household, are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER: Official Entry Forms must be obtained and submitted at the BMI and Abod booth at the Iowa State Fair through August 17th. Forms may also be obtained and submitted at BSB Design, 1601 West Lakes Parkway, Suite 200, West Des Moines, IA. Forms may also be submitted online through the BMI website (www.blessmanmedicalministries.org) through August 16th. Authorized personnel will monitor all registration submissions. Entry by mail or phone is prohibited. All entries become the property of Sponsor and may not be returned. All winners must meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these rules, and all requirements established by state and federal law, in order to qualify for any prize. Limit one entry per person. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or illegible entries. By participating in this Drawing, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Drawing Parties and each of their respective affiliates, officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees, from any and all liability whatsoever from any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly: 1) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded herein; or 2) participation in the Event, the Drawing or any prize related activities, including but not limited to traveling to or from the Event or any prize related activity. Also by participating Sponsor may not be added to the Do Not Call List.
ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning will depend upon the actual number of entries received for this drawing.
RANDOM DRAWING: There will be one (1) winner. The Winner will be selected in a random drawing at the close of the Event on August 17, 2008 at 8 p.m. from among all eligible entries received by authorized personnel.
PRIZE: Two night, three day stay at the Shikwaru Game Lodge in South Africa (including lodging, meals, and two photo safaris), round-trip airfare for one from Des Moines, IA to Johannesburg, South Africa, and transportation to and from the airport to the game farm. No cash redemption or equivalent. All federal, state and local income taxes, insurance, licensing, registration and title fees connected to the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. All federal, state and local regulations apply. Sponsor shall only be responsible for awarding the number of prizes as stated in these rules. Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the Event or to delivery and/or subsequent use of prizes awarded. Sponsor makes no representation or warranties concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded.
CLAIMING THE PRIZE: To claim a winning prize, call Van & Bonnie on 1040AM WHO Radio (on-line at www.whoradio.com) at (515)284-1040 if you hear your name on August 20th, 7:10AM, after the 7:10 announcement. The winner will have 10 minutes and 40 seconds to claim the prize. If the prize is not claimed, a new winner will be chosen and have 10 minutes and 40 seconds to call and claim the prize. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded. As a condition of winning the prize, the winner may be required to complete, sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, and a release of liability and publicity, where permitted by law, and any other applicable forms required by a taxing authority within ten (10) days of receipt of written prize notification or prizes will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Further, by entering the Drawing and/or accepting the prize, the winner and all other entrants consent to Sponsor’s use of their name, photograph and/or likeness, address, voice and statements made by or attributed to them, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and internet), for all legitimate business purposes including advertising and promotional activities without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to hold Sponsor harmless against any and all claims and liabilities arising out of use of the prize. Entrants and the winner assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claims to be caused by participation in the Event, the Drawing or in this promotion or the use or redemption of the prize. Upon delivery of the prize to the winner, Sponsor will be deemed to have awarded the prize to the winner, with the winner assuming full responsibility for the prize. If any correspondence of the judges or other Drawing Parties or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. Should a winner make any false statements in any document referenced above, the winner will be required to promptly return the prize to the Sponsor. Any unaccepted prize may be awarded in a random or future Drawing to be held as necessary. If there is a dispute concerning the identity of the entrant, Sponsor reserves the right to require further accurate and reliable information or documentation, to reject the entry, and/or to award prizes to alternate winners.
MISCELLANEOUS CONDITIONS: By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding with respect to all issues relating to this Drawing. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have complied with all of the conditions contained in the Official Rules. Sponsor may be collecting personal data about you (e.g. name, address and telephone number) for the Drawings and for purposes of market research and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Event.
