About Blessman Ministries
Dr. Jim and Beth Blessman formed Blessman Ministries (formerly Blessman Medical Ministries) in August 2001. Jim, a board-certified family physician and pain specialist, is now working as a fulltime medical missionary. Their mission is to share the love of Christ with the world using medical tools.
God has been directing them to lead teams of medical and support staff from the United States to countries where the need for healthcare is great. Providing healthcare, eyeglasses, and dentistry opens the door to countries and communities who need to experience the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
Partnering with Blessman Ministries
Blessman Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit corporation established as a charitable organization under the I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3). By establishing Blessman Ministries this way, all tax-deductible gifts are used to purchase medical supplies and eyeglasses and to pay for direct expenses of the ministry. The ministry employs one part-time office employee; however, neither Jim nor Beth take a salary from the ministry.

Working with Caring Connection
In October 2001, The Blessmans were accepted as Missionary Associates under the Assemblies of God division HealthCare Ministries and were allowed to keep their nonprofit organization. The Blessmans recently undertook a new role in their ministry by transferring to Assemblies of God Caring Connection. Jim is now the physician available for consult for all of the Assemblies of God missionaries worldwide. As a part of this role, he provides the missionaries with medical advice as they need it day or night.
